An investigation by Metro UK and Ripple Suicide Prevention has found that UK users can still access a harmful suicide forum despite measures intended to block it.
The site can be reached within seconds using a VPN, while a mirror site on the dark web continues to make the same content available.
This shows how easily current restrictions can be bypassed. Ofcom’s jurisdiction must be extended so it can respond to VPN access and other routes that leave harmful suicide-related content within reach.
