The Life Jacket, a campaign of Havas People and R;pple Suicide Prevention, has been nominated in two categories of The Rad Awards 2025: Creative Idea and Visual Craft.
Why it matters?
Suicide is the number one cause of death for men under the age of 50 in the UK, and 17 people die by suicide in the UK every day. Employers often struggle to understand how they can support employees dealing with suicidal thoughts, so they do not take action until it is too late.
Suicide prevention takes many forms, and over the years, various campaigns have tried to break the stigma and inspire action. Among them, The Life Jacket stands out for its engaging, innovative, and human approach.
This unique concept works in a variety of settings - from key locations in London and major cities across Europe to large expos, business events, and corporate offices. The Life Jacket not only sparks conversations in a fresh way but also drives action toward suicide prevention. In the workplace, it helps educate about the risks of harmful online content and encourages the implementation of R;pple’s digital crisis intervention tool as a vital, always-on online guardian, protecting employees when they are most vulnerable.
