We’re thrilled to share that Bristol Sport’s clubs - Bristol City, Bristol Bears, and Bristol Flyers - alongside their charitable foundations, have partnered with R;pple to strengthen mental health support across their community.
The R;pple tool has been deployed across key sites at the clubs to safeguard staff, players, and particularly young scholars, fromharmful online content.
Last week's launch of our partnership with Bristol Sport was nothing less than impressive!
📅 Tuesday, Nov. 5: Alice Hendy MBE was at the Ashton Gate Stadium together with Craig Butler and Ian Hendy to speak at half-time in front of the fans and to present R;pple to the under 18s, women’s team and the stewards.
Bristol Sport continued to spread the word about R;pple throughout the week:
📅 Friday, Nov 8: Bristol Bears men’s game against Australia
📅 Sunday, Nov 10: Bristol City women’s game against Newcastle United
Maggie Martin, Senior Safeguarding Officer at Bristol Sport, said, “Mental wellbeing is so important, and our relationship with R;pple will intercept flagged search terms, signpost to free mental health support, and provide resources for staff and players across all age groups.”
Alice Hendy MBE, R;pple Founder and CEO, said: “Since losing Josh, football has often kept me going, and watching the games on the television or attending a match in person has given me something to look forward to in some very dark days and weeks. I’m absolutely over the moon to say that Bristol Sport and its clubs have partnered with R;pple as we continue to encourage fans to open up about their mental health."
This collaboration is more than just a partnership - it’s a life-saving initiative to foster open conversations around mental health, ensuring fans, players, and staff feel truly supported.
