La prevenci\u00f3n del suicidio tiene muchas caras. The Life Jacket existe para dar esperanza a quienes atraviesan dificultades y para sensibilizar a quienes quieren ayudar.<\/h5>

Entre las inspiradoras iniciativas lanzadas con motivo de este D\u00eda Mundial para la Prevenci\u00f3n del Suicidio, una destaca por su enfoque cercano y humano: The Life Jacket<\/a>. <\/p>

El 10 de septiembre, se colocaron 17 chalecos salvavidas en 17 ubicaciones de todo el Reino Unido<\/strong>, en referencia al n\u00famero de personas que se suicidan a diario<\/strong> en el pa\u00eds. <\/p>

Cada chaleco comienza en blanco, invitando a las personas a compartir sus experiencias vividas, historias y consejos. Cada chaleco se convierte entonces en un recordatorio visual permanente de que todos tenemos la capacidad de cambiar la vida de alguien<\/strong>.<\/p>

Puesto en marcha por Jonathan Lee<\/a>, director creativo en Havas People<\/a>, The Life Jacket tiene una historia que no es f\u00e1cil de escuchar. <\/p>

\u00abEl martes 7 de febrero de 2023 me enter\u00e9 de que uno de mis amigos de la universidad se hab\u00eda quitado la vida. Alex ten\u00eda 42 a\u00f1os. <\/em><\/p>

Quiz\u00e1 sea por esa distancia que mi emoci\u00f3n inmediata al saber que Alex se hab\u00eda quitado la vida no fue de tristeza. Estaba en shock. Estaba confundido. \u201c\u00bfAlex se ha quitado la vida?! Pero \u00bfpor qu\u00e9?\u201d <\/em><\/p>

No lo entend\u00eda. Nadie pod\u00eda entenderlo.<\/em><\/p>

Un par de d\u00edas despu\u00e9s descubr\u00ed que llevaba casi un a\u00f1o buscando contenido da\u00f1ino, incluidos m\u00e9todos muy expl\u00edcitos para acabar con su vida. Eso fue lo que realmente me golpe\u00f3. Saber que hab\u00eda sufrido durante tanto tiempo. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 no lo dijo? \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 no preguntamos?\u00bb<\/em><\/p>

Mientras desarrollaban la idea de The Life Jacket, Jon y su compa\u00f1era Inger descubrieron Ripple Suicide Prevention Charity y nos identificaron como el colaborador y socio ideal. <\/p>

The Life Jacket tiene ahora la misi\u00f3n<\/strong> de colaborar con organizaciones grandes y peque\u00f1as para dar al mayor n\u00famero posible de personas las habilidades, los conocimientos y la confianza necesarios para actuar.
